I skipped out on church today because I feel like complete shit. I woke up, couldn't breathe, started trippin', and now I'm cool. I've had a slight cold since I returned from Arkansas and now my allergies are acting up. Basically, to reiterate, I feel like shit. So, I've been lying down and shootin' the shit in the cyber world. I finally put pics on my myspace page cuz my sister was buggin' the shit out of me. I don't even check it that often, but oh well.
My dad's out of town with his "fiance", which is cool. I love my dad but his "fiance" I can't stand. There's nothing better than a quiet house. However, I lose my mind with too much quiet, so I've been hanging out at my sister's house. The only quiet moment between us has been when we're sleep. I like this kind of noise though. I talk a lot of shit and crack jokes, which is hilarious. I'm even crazier when I don't feel well so this has been an interesting weekend, as is everytime we're together. My dad comes back Monday, then it's back to his crazy household.
My sister and I might go to Venice beach today to people watch and all that jazz. That will probably be interesting.
Deuces.

Arkansas trip
My sister and I woke up a 5:30 am to get on the road. We wanted to leave a 6 and we left at 6:10, so we made pretty good time. When we got to San Dimas, we stopped for gas and ice. I got turned around a little bit and ended up in a area where according to my sister "they do weird experiments on people." It was pretty funny. The drive itself was not that exciting to describe, but the shit I recorded on my travel's log would say the opposite. A couple things I do want bullet point though.
1. We were about 1 hour or so from the Cali border, and I was listening to a song by Marc Dorsey called Crave. I love this Anyhow, I was really into the song when all of a sudden my sister turns to me with full tears in her eyes and said in a really small voice, "I miss my girls." (Her girls are her 9 month year old cats.) It was so hilarious! My sister is this hard core girl who's real in your face and strong willed and opinionated. To see her crying over some damn cats was crazy.
2. When we got to Albuquerque, we were taking bets on how many black people we would see. It's one of our favorite travel games. (the total was 3, but that would change on the drive back)
3. When we got to Oklahoma City, we were looking for a rest stop to sleep for a few hours. We couldn't find one, so we stopped in an IHOP parking lot. After a while, I woke up because I heard people yelling and screaming, so I looked to see what was going on. 20 people were in the parking lot drunk. Then I heard one of them say, "There's some sistas in the car right there for you." When I heard that, the warning signs started flashing. All I could think about was the Duke lacrosse team incident. I jumped in the driver's seat and got the hell outta there.
We got to Arkansas and it was cool. Hanging out with my best friends (my siblings) was great. I had static with my mom a few times. I've been trying to start a new relationship with her, and she certainly tested my decision. I think I'll dive into this story...
It was the Wednesday we were there I think. The morning started crazy. My mom watches TBN every morning. TBN is the Christian channel. So, it's 6 in the morning (4 Cali time) and she has the tv on scream. It was too loud for it to be 6 in the morning. So I roll over and notice my little brother standing over me watching me sleep. He had done it a couple times before in the week, but he told me he was looking for something in my room, which I accepted. Not this time though. He wanted to know if I was sleeping. Of course I'm sleeping. If my eyes are closed and I look like I'm in a state of tranquility, then i'm sleep. Now after all that, I could no longer sleep so I get up. I start walking down the hall when my mom stops me. Her TBN station had gone out. She has direct tv, which I told her not to get. Anyhow, she asks me to see if I can fix it. I give it a shot, no such luck. She asks me to check the other tv and see if it's working. Nope, it's not. She's on her way to work, so she asks if I'll call the direct tv people and see what's going on...and I agree to do it. She also asked me to check with the phone people too, cuz it was trippin'. I call both and do what they tell me to do. The phone started working again, the dish was still fucked up. I set up an appointment to have the maintenance people come out to the house. I thought everything was cool. It wasn't though. My mom calls me every five minutes to find out what is going on. Seriously, bitchin and worrying herself into a frenzy. Finally, I just couln't take it anymore, pretended my cell was breaking up and hung up. She called me back five times, of which I answered none. Finally, I threw my phone to my sister and let her deal with it.
I go out later to see my old history teacher or my " other mom" as I call her, to talk to her class. My little brother meets me in her class after school so I can take him home. We are walking down the hall when some other teachers come up to us and basically trash my brother in front of me and my "other mom." They let a bunch of bullshit erupt out their mouths about my little brother is not the same kind of student my twin and i were. THAT is another story. Back to the original one. My little brother and I decide to go to my twin's dorm room and hang out. We're there about 40 minutes when my mom calls me and asks where I am. I tell her and she loses her shit talking bout how he needs to be at home to do his homework before Bible study. I calmly say ok and we head home. My little brother goes to my room to do his homework in my room cuz I have a fan and the temperature in the house was set on hell. My mom asks how my day is looking for the next day. I tell her not sure and she asks if possible I could take my little brother to his psych evaluation. The alarms went off in my head. Why was he going to have a psych evaluation. A huge argument ensues to the point where I have to just let it go.
That night, I'm sitting at the computer doing different things. I then start writing an e-mail. So I'm really engrossed in this e-mail when my mom comes out her room and keeps asking me to look up stuff for her. I'm a little annoyed but I don't let it show. Finally, she returns to her room for what I think is the last time. Suddenly, I see an arm stretch over my shoulder and click my e-mail off when I was almost finished with it. Then I hear, "Were you using that." I had a few choice words I wanted to say to my mom, but instead I just announced I was going to bed. It was 8:30. I never go to bed that early unless I'm extremely tired. My sister was in shock. She knew I was at my breaking point. When I closed to door to my room, I heard my mom say "What happened to make her go to bed?" She was so oblivious. My sister just told her she's had a long day. When I woke up the next morning, again cuz my little brother was watching me sleep, my mom saw me and was like sorry you were upset. I just told her today's a new day, yesterday did not exist. She kept pushing the issue with me, but I was like if you want us to be cool, forget yesterday happened.
My twin's probate show was really crazy. There were definitely a lot of things I hadn't seen in a long time being out of a predominately black environment. I'm really proud of my twin. He had to go through hazing and whatnot, so I know he feels good about crossing the burning sands.

Okay, I have made it back from Arkansas. I'm so happy i could kiss strangers walking down the street. (Naw, not really...but I think my point has been made) A lot happened, and after I listen to my travel's log I recorded I'll probably give highlights. However, I do want to mention my twin's probate show. It was amazing, and I am extremely proud of him. Chuck aka "Golden Intelligence" definitely did his thing. He is now a proud member of the oldest and most distinguished black frat Alpha Phi Alpha. Hit this back later.

At 6 in the morning my sister and I begin our adventure. It should be cool. If there starts to be some static between us, I'll just put her in the trunk and continue towards Arkansas. I'm going to keep a moby dick type log of the trip on tape. Yup, I'm recording our silly banter so I can remember what was said. I guess I'll do it hourly. It's about time for me to go to sleep. I have the first shift in driving and we're not stopping unless necessary, and then only for a few minutes. I'm excited about seeing the fam, especially my twin. I haven't seen them in a long time and my twin's probate show is Saturday. The rest is silence until I return.

I recently found out that the firefighters of Pine Bluff, AR burned down their kitchen while going to fight another fire in the city. If that's not some three stooges shit, I don't know what is.
I'm getting ready to take a cross country trip with my sister to visit family in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I'm really excited, seeing as I haven't seen them in a really long time. Arkansas is perhaps one of the most boring places ever, so I'm glad I won't be there longer than my Spring break. I'm a little worried about riding in the car with my sister that long. She's one of my best friends, but she can be an anal whiny bitch sometimes. (I hope she doesn't read this, although she knows it's true) Bitchin' to me is like a fly in your ear. It is hella annoying. Hopefully, we won't kill each other and have a good trip.
