I think the advancements in modern medicine are great. However, there are times when I feel doctors don't know what the hell they're doing. I spent 11 1/2 hours in the ER yesterday with my sister. She had been having some lower back pain, but yesterday it escalated into her whole back as well as her stomache. She also had a pretty bad fever. They gave her tylenol to bring down the fever, which it did, but that was basically all they could do to help her feel better for the first 8 or so hours. She got a lot worse before she got any better. They finally admitted her into the hospital and she has to stay for a couple days. I stayed with her the whole time and finally had a meal at 1 in the morning. It was super scary to see my sister like this. She's my superman, in a manner of speaking, and there was nothing I could do. I'm exhausted now, but I still have to continue life. Hopefully, they'll finally be able to figure out what's really wrong now.
**UPDATE** They have placed my sister on day to day status. They have found out the source of her abdominal pain, but they still have no idea of what the back pain is. She really wants to come home, but it's just not going to happen yet. Thanks for the kind words :)
