I have returned unscathed from spending time with my family!! Here's the new CaliLove cast. It's a YSI file because libsyn messed up my storage and I don't want to add anything until it's fixed. Talk to you guys later.

Enjoyed #8 by the way. Since iPod is on the fritz I finally got to listen to it yesterday at work. Benji cracks me up. Loved the clip at the end of you and family busting on each other.

hey. thanks for the new cast. glad your dad took the news well.
i saw that movie at the sf frameline festival and it was really good. i guess it isn't mainstream enough for an actual release, but it seems like a lot of people would enjoy it.

great podcast as always. um i will answer your question on being black and gay thing later. im happy that your dad took it well. and Benji like the Braves if he was here my uncle and aunt goes to the games and wants me to go but i dont like baseball, Benji can have my ticket. they have lots of Braves stuff here so if he wants anything let me know.

Great cast ;)! omg I'm so jealous you got to see "Loving Annabelle"...I sooo want to see that movie!! And I can't believe you got to meet the actors as well!! That's pretty awesome! I already saw some trailers of the movie, but unfortunately I have to wait until the dvd comes out before I can see it.
Sorry to hear about what happend between you and charlie. Hope your brother comes around soon. But I'm glad to hear that your dad took the news well :). Hope you're doing well out there in Cali and have a great weekend!

1. i'm happy that your dad took it well.
2. i love paul mooney! it's so great that you got to meet him. i sort of spoiled myself about Loving Annabelle. i'm content knowing that there will be deleted scenes when the dvd comes out this fall.
3. the water ride story was funny.
4. two weeks after kanye west made that comment i went to see a show where ?uestlove was DJing and heard the song, it was freaking great!
5. to the question you received from the reader about being black and bi/gay/whatnot, i don't how to fully answer that. it's just hard. there are members of my family that i won't imagine coming out to because they are so closed-minded. case in point, many years ago while visiting my grandfather, my cousin felt to the need to comment on a high school prom image that my grandfather had. "so i see that you took a white boy to the prom." yeah closed-minded. i have more to say about this but don't want to clog up your comment section.
anyway great cast and i hope you enjoy the weekend!

next year i must go to out fest, it sound so much fun and congratulations on coming out to your dad. it's goog that he took it soo well. congrats. and about charlie, he would understand with some time, don't worry.
ohh and orange county fair... i like that fair i used to go when i lived in the oc. yeah it's fun.

Hey. I haven't finished listening to your cast yet, because I don't have access to my computer. Thanks for answering my questions. I know that you truly meant to say that Canadian currency is way more appealing than its American counterpart. And, how can you not like Crystal Light? I understand not liking Kool-Aid, but Crystal Light is great.
